Yet another fantastic week in class one!
In maths, we have been focusing on Multiplication and Division. So far, we have looked at making equal groups which supported us with our muliplication and division as we noticed that to solve the problems we had to have equal groups. We have also practiced counting in 2s, 5s and 10s which has supported us with Multiplication. We learnt two strategies for division: grouping and sharing. On Friday, we learnt about doubling and halving.
In Reception, we have been doing addition to 10. We have looked at how two parts can be added to make a whole. The children them decided to develop their learning further by doing some work on their whiteboards.
On Thursday, we had our final music session with Mrs Hickingbotham. We have really enjoyed all of our learning with Mrs Hickingbotham and will miss her very much! The children have grown so much more confident in their singing and performing.
In our areas, we have been enjoying using the writing area. The children have spent time writing sentences which we were proud to show off to the grown-ups at school. We also liked getting creative, making lots of models.
