Collective Worship Tuesday 30th June

RHebblewhite - 28 Jun 2020

Loving-Kindness Meditation | Practice | Greater Good in Action

Good Morning everyone! Welcome to Tuesday's
Collective Worship,With Mrs Hebblewhite.

Our theme this week is:

HOW TO DRAW LOVE IN 3D - YouTube

Yesterday we looked at the story Guess How Much I Love You  and we reflected on ways
that we show each other our love

  • Can you think of some of the ways that your Mums and Dads show you that they love you everyday?Sometimes, the smallest things can show you that they love you. For instance, making you your breakfast, or even checking that you have cleaned your teeth!
  • Can you think of three things that you could do today, to show them that you love them?

Over the last three months, showing our love has been especially important to us all.  We haven't been able to see our loved ones whenever we want - our Grandmas and Grandads and school friends. It has been a difficult time for us and sometimes we have all felt a little bit sad.
BUT...
Thanks to the love that we have for each other: our Mums and Dads, school friends, brothers and sisters (most of the time!!), we supported each other and we did not give up. We kept working hard on our school work, we kept smiling and we didn't let things get us down.

Now I'd like to share an advert with you, which makes me feel happy when I see it, because it reminds me of all of you and of our school community. Watch carefully,
because this week I am setting you all a task,
which involves this song!

I hope you enjoyed that. The advert is all about supporting each other, reminding each other that we care
and staying in touch.

  • Can you share some of the ways that you and your family and friends have supported each other and shown each other your love during Lockdown?

Some of us are back at school now and some of us are still at home.  Many of us are still missing our friends, family and colleagues, and it is important that we continue to stay in touch with each other and to show our love and support.

This week, as a way of coming together, we are going to make a video to the song
'Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now'
.

SO...children AND TEACHERS!!
Get your hairbrushes ready!
Send me a short video clip
- no longer than 20 seconds
,
of you doing something that you enjoy.
Don't worry, you don't have to sing!

Ethan and I (well maybe me more than Ethan!), couldn't resist making our own pop video,
to give you a bit of inspiration!

Obvioulsy, I don't expect anyone to top my amazing acting skills and choreography (!!), but nevertheless, I am looking forward to receiving your video clips!
As I will have a lot of clips to fit in,
I'm afraid I won't be able to show the whole 20 seconds, but I will get you all in!
You need to send them to me by Friday to
 (Class1@gfschools.co.uk).

Let's finish with a prayer
God our Father I come to say, thank you for your love today. Thank ...

Amen.

I hope you have enjoyed today's Collective Worship.

Have a great day everyone!
Missing you!
Mrs Hebblewhite x

And finally...(if you have time)
Here's a song you may enjoy -  'All You Need Is Love'
by The Beatles (performed by the Beetle Bugs!)
