Tuesday 9th February

08 Feb 2021

Good Morning Class 1!

It's Tuesday again - have you got happy feet today?

If you would like to start the day with a song, go to Sing Up for their #feelgoodfifteen

Thank you for sharing your work yesterday, I saw a fantastic weather chart and I am pleased to see that the ice ornaments worked too - although that does mean it was very cold!

Today we are following Rupert and Edwards suggestion and going on a treasure hunt... see you at 9.30am smiley

Phonics

Please find links below for todays phonics

Please watch the Geraldine the Giraffe video on 'or'

Then follow the link below and complete the activities BBC Bitesize

If you would like a challenge, see if you can write some of the 'or' words

  Literacy

Today is Internet Safety Day. This is an event that happens every year and this year the focus is 'An internet we can
trust' Not everything we read on the internet is true so we have to be good detectives and check the facts.

 Listen to the story-
Detective digiduck which helps to explain how we can use the internet and other sources to find information. After the story you could make a poster about Digiduck being a good fact detective or make a digiduck mask.

Maths

Please follow the link for todays maths session. Today will be session 2

Today we are making pairs. Here is the follow up activity -   -PDF-Growing-6-7-8-Week-2-Session-2.pdf-

Here is another fun matching activity!  -Socks Tuesday 2.docx-

Understanding the World

Using the facts you found yesterday about your polar animal, can you draw or make an animal of your own and write some labels?

Remember, you can also find todays collective worship on the News & Events - Enrichment page

We hope you have a lovely day and look forward to seeing your polar animals!
