The Lighthouse Keeper

26 Jun 2019

This week in Class 1 we have started thinking about the seaside and lighthouses. We read the Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch and have been thinking about creating our own lunches.

We designed our own picnic and our own sandwiches, thinking about healthy and unhealthy foods, Miss Rogers and Miss Frankland were really impressed about how much we had remembered about different foods. On Friday we made our sandwiches.

We have done lots of PE this week on Wednesday we worked with Mrs Barker to do some rounders, on Thursday we did Real PE with Mr Woolston and on Friday Miss Rogers helped us practise our hand eye co-ordination by doing lots of different throwing, aiming and catching activities.

We welcomed next year's Reception class again on Tuesday and enjoyed showing them round the classroom and sharing the resources with them.

Each day we have been watering and measuring our beanstalks and they are now growing taller and taller and will soon be ready to go home.
