Monday 11th January

08 Jan 2021

Good morning Class 1!

Its Monday and the start of a new week. I hope you had a lovely weekend with your family and had lots of fun in the snow! I loved seeing your snowy pictures smiley Don't forget, we will be having our usual catch up at 9.30am. Today we are going to build a story using our bodies!!

Thank you to those of you who have sent me your super work and a

to Archie, George, Harry and Scott for great scores on purple mash last week! It is great to see what you are doing and I would like to see at least one piece of work each day.

Here are your activities for today:
Phonics
Please work through the PowerPoint for our phonic session today.

I have set up a task on Purple mash to complete a phonic word building game if you would like to do some extra phonics. This will remain open and can be done at any time. To find the task, log in to Purple mash and you should see a notification link to the task.

Literacy - The Toy Room

Can you remember the story we read last week about the toy room? I would like you to have a go at adding some labels to a picture from the story today. Below you will find a PowerPoint with some label sheets. You can choose which picture to label or make one of your own in your work book by either using a picture from a magazine or draw your own.

today is
session 3.

Understanding the World
Use the power point in the files section on our TEAMs page to find out about the differences between old and new toys.
See if you can answer the questions on the Power point.
You could have a go at sorting your toys into groups by the material they are made from? You could add a label to your group and take a picture to show me the different materials your toys are made with.

Get Active!
You might want to start the week by getting moving, On our Home Learning page there is a link to lots of websites to help us keep active and stay healthy. I have added a couple here but feel free to have a look at the others any time you would like to get moving.

Don’t forget that there is also a daily collective worship for you to watch as well. Just go to ‘News and Events’, ‘Enrichment’ to find it

I hope you all have a great day, don't forget to send me a piece of work that you are most proud of today yes
