Superheroes, pirates treasure and magic stones!

17 Mar 2021

This week in class 1...
enlightenedWE ARE SUPERHEROESenlightened
We have had a fun day today raising some money for Red Nose Day. We practised our superhero moves, made and decorated some red nose biscuits as well as doing some super phonics, writing and maths too!
In our magi
c box we found a little boy, a pirate sword, a house and a book! We shared the story of 'The Night Pirates' and wrote messages to ask if we could join them on their adventures.

We hunted for treasure in the lava swamp and made our own treasure   bottles...

We also made some pirate faces...

In phonics we have been revisiting the phonemes:
ai         ee        igh        oa
and we had a tricky word treasure hunt!
This weekend to finish off our pirate adventures, please help the pirates reach the treasure chests by writing some of our tricky words on each of the coins. Each pirate has a different tricky word they need your help with.

In maths we have been looking at solid shapes... I wonder if you can find any of our shapes around your home?

We hope you have a lovely weekend, See you next week where we will be finding out all about Easter and Spring!
If you have any empty yoghurt pots, please send them in for some planting yes
