Friday 29th January

27 Jan 2021

Good Morning

Class 1

On our catch up this morning I would like to share a story with you so make sure you have a comfy seat and we will see each other at 9.30am!

I hope you had a fun day yesterday measuring your water! Have you checked on your rain gauges? How much water have they collected so far? Remember to keep filling in your weather charts, you could add how much rain has fallen at the end of each week.

Phonics

Please see the powerpoint below for todays phonics, we are focusing again on our tricky words and learning 2 new words.

  -Friday Phonics2-V318019583.pptx-

Can you go on a word hunt? You could write the words on bits of paper or use the resources below. Ask a grown up to hide the words around your house or garden for you to find. Maybe you could hide them for your grown ups too and test their searching and reading skills!

These are some of our tricky words but if you would like to challenge yourself you could add more of the tricky words we have learned!

You will find the lesson video in TEAMs  - it should appear on the ‘post’ thread but if you have any problems, please let me know.

Session 5

Here is a play dough recipe if you would like to have a go at making your own -   -PDF-Alive-in-5-Week-3-Session-5.pdf-

If you would prefer to make something tasty you could try these winter cupcakes (or any tasty treats - as long as you can practise your measuring skills)

Since I can't taste your yummy baking, I would love for you to send me pictures of your star bakes!
