Good Morning Class 1

I hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed getting outside - did you find the items on the winter scavenger hunt?
We are looking forward to seeing you at our 9.30am catch up smiley Today Miss Thewsey will be talking to you about a little project...

You will need to print this or you could make your own if you would like -Weather Chart.docx-

Today looks like this:

Phonics

You will find the lesson video in TEAMs  - it should appear on the ‘post’ thread but if you have any problems, please let me know.

Maths

Please see below todays video for maths. Today we are looking at comparing mass
Session 1

Why not have a go at making your own set of scales - here is an example using a coat hanger!

A further activity - can you say which item is heavier or lighter?:   -heavy-or-light-comparison.pdf-

Understanding the World

Over the next few days we will be looking at rain gauges. Below is a PowerPoint which has some examples of rain gauges for you to look through.

  -Rain Gauge Examples.pptx-

Now, you can start designing your own. There are some templates below, please can you write some labels for your design or a sentence that tells us about it.

Get moving!

Lets start the week by getting active. Today, Miss Thewsey has chosen a couple of activities you might like to try:

Obstacle Course - Today, you could make an obstacle course using things around your house. If you want a challenge, see who can finish the quickest.

Or you could challenge your family to a game of 'Simon says'. Remember, you only do the action when Simon says or you will be out!

Don’t forget that there is also a daily collective worship for you to watch as well. Just go to ‘News and Events’, ‘Enrichment’ to find it.

We hope you have a lovely day and look forward to seeing your super work smiley
