Our first week at school!

09 Sep 2021

Week 1 in Class 1!

We have been very busy in Class 1 this week. We have explored all of the areas of our classroom and outdoor area and had fun using the different resources.

We eat our lunch in the school hall with the children from class 2 and then we go out to play on the big playground and field with them.

Our favourite things this week have been:
"building a train track"
"playing with the cars"
"splashing in the water tray!"
"building with the big bricks in the outdoor area"

There should be a copy of our Autumn term timetable in your child's book bag and you can also find it on our curriculum page. You will also find information on our curriculum page about some of the books we might be sharing this half term although this may change as the term goes on because we like to follow our interests too!

Next week we will be starting our daily phonics sessions and at the end of the week there will be an activity to follow the sounds we have met so far.
We will also be talking about what makes each of us special including the things we like.

This weekend I would like to hear about the children's favourite books. Please can you add a picture to evidence me showing them in their favourite story sharing place with their favourite book. I will add the photographs to our class reading display and if they would like to bring a book into school, we will share their favourite books in school over the next week.

I hope you enjoy a good rest over the weekend after your first week in school. See you on Monday for another busy week!
