Summer term - Pirates!

 This week in Class 1...

We joined a crew of girl pirates on their adventure to steal some treasure! We used our phonic knowledge to write some sentences about what we can see on a pirate island.

We went on a treasure hunt to find items that look like the things pirates have. We found a clock which is like a compass and a glue stick which was the same shape as a telescope!
 

 
The bee bots had to collect different pirate items. We first followed instructions to see which item they could find and then we thought about which direction they needed to turn and how many steps they needed to take to get to other items.
In RE, we have been thinking about special things in our homes and what we would take with us on a pirate adventure.
 

We have had a fun sporty week this week too with our whole school rounders tournament on Wednesday and the fun run on Friday afternoon.




 
 
Next week:

Monday - Sports day 1.30pm start. Please make sure the correct PE kit is in school.

Friday - Transition afternoon
