Reading Books and Morning Jobs

19 Mar 2020

Dear parents/carers,

Today the children were sent home each with a pack of reading books. Every three weeks we will leave a box in the playground/car park, where you will be able to turn in your pack and swap for another.  Each pack contains a range of reading levels - some of which the children will not be expected to read until towards the end of the school year, and contain 'sounds' that the children have not yet learned -  However, you can at this point in the year read these stories to your child, discussing the characters, plot, setting, their opinion of the book and their predictions about what might happen next in the story. I will be in touch nearer to time with details of the swap.

Each day I will post the children's daily 'jobs' on the website, with suggestions for additional activites. Today I sent home laminated 'letter formation' and 'number formation' practise sheets, along with a laminated name card and whiteboard pen. I have also sent home a set of number cards to 20 These will be part of the children's 'Daily Jobs'.

If you have any questions, I will do my best to answer them in the morning for you.

Take care,

Mrs Hebblewhite
