Autumn 2 - Week 4

24 Nov 2020

Shoes!

On Monday we found a letter from the elves in our message centre asking for our help to find some missing shoes. We are very good at finding things and we soon matched up the shoes. Some of us decided to write a note back to tell the elves we had found their shoes.

We received another letter asking for our help to make some more shoes. We used the creative area to design our own shoes and the workshop to help the elves to make some more shoes. It was a very busy workshop!

We looked at different types of shoes and thought about what they were used for and the material they were made from.
We also did some exploring with our feet!

In the workshop we have also been busy building different vehicles. We used the junk boxes to make our own creations and then created roads and the sea to test them out.

In phonics this week we have met the new phonemes

ng     ai       ee

We looked at words that these graphemes could be found in and had a go at writing some words and sentences too. The children have brought home the tricky words we have looked at so far. There are also some suggested games to help learn them.

Have a lovely weekend... only 28

sleeps to Christmas!
