Computing, forest schools and reading
22 May 2024
On Tuesday, the year 2s enjoyed their archeology dig on the school field. They learnt more about the process and found lots of interesting things from old pencils to pieces of clay and pottery that were very old.
In Computing, we have been creating pictograms. Last week, we collaboratively created a pictogram on our favourite ice cream. This week, we created our own data by rolling a dice 20 times and noting down the number it landed on to then input. They children are fantastic at using the computer now!
Last week, we enjoyed our final session of forest schools. A huge thank you to Helen for all her hard work. The children have particularly liked using wood and nails, playing in the mud kitchen and making dens. They have also done lots of learning about the environment, including plants.
On Wednesday, we enjoyed more shared reading with class three. The children love sharing books with each other!
Reception have enjoyed using the creative area to paint and mix colours. They have also continued to make lots of dens or little homes outside. The children then role played homes, with some being babies and others parents that cared for them.
Have a lovely break!
