Library Visit
29 Nov 2023
Class one had a fantastic time at the library! A huge thank you to Mrs Simpson and the lovely library team at Harrogate for making us feel so welcome, it was fantastic. It was lovely to visit another of our local libraries, the children love selecting books and sharing them.
The afternoon began with us listening to a story all about class two's trip to the zoo. Then Mrs Simpson spoke to us about the different books in the library and where we could find them. The children then had lots of time to explore the area. They chose lots of fantastic books then enjoyed checking the books out using the machine.
We played a great game of Bingo. All the pictures were of things we could find in the library. The library offers lots of services and events, we especially liked the sound of their lego session.
The children made snowmen bookmarks. They used googly eyes, stickers, crayons and lots of glue. We are looking forward to using them when reading our books at home. Some of us also coloured in some lovely Christmassy pictures too and cut them out.
Thank you to all of our Parents and Friends for contributing to funding this great trip! We hope to visit again soon.
