Movement in Class one
18 Oct 2023
It has been another lovely week in class one.
On Wednesday, we had a treat... ice cream in the sunshine! The children have a marble jar, we earn marbles by going above and beyond. This can be in our learning, by being kind to our friends or showing other values. It was a lovely finish to the afternoon.

In Maths we have been enjoying our new learning units.
Reception have been focusing on 2D shapes. We can name lots of shapes and are beginning to describe them using words like curved and straight. The children liked playing a game where they had to match the picture cards of the shapes. Joseph won twice!
In Year one, we have been doing lots of addition. We have added more and used a numberline to help us with our addition. The children have a very good understanding of number and love using lots of resources to help them.
In Year two, we have also been doing addition. The children have been adding by making ten which was a bit tricky to begin with. We used ten frames and numberlines to help us and we were soon expert!
In PE with Mr Whitford, we have been doing Multi-skills movement. We enjoy showing off all the different ways we can move around the playground. We have been playing some ball games where we have to find the space.
Have a lovely weekend, lets hope it stops raining!
