A play, RE and Rounders
19 Jul 2023
We have come to the final full week, only a few more days to go! I am so proud of all the children. They have worked incredibly hard this year and made such fantastic progress. Not only that, they have made lovely friendships and shown us all how loving and caring they are. They really are such a special and amazing group of children.
In RE, we have been looking at how people care for others and the world. We have enjoyed thinking about how we care for each other and our surroundings. The children had some great ideas of how we show we care: hugs, kisses, holding hand, giving gifts, complimenting people and so on. We also care for the world by recycling, picking up litter, planting trees and plants and trying to care for animals. This week, we considered how people's religions may inspire them to help others. The children learnt about Mother Teresa who dedicated lots of her life to her faith and helping those in need.
We have also enjoyed watching the KS2 production of the Wizard of Oz. It was fantatsic, we were so proud of them and all of their hard work. Well done!
On Thursday, the children had a great afternoon playing rounders. We have been practising our rounders skills in PE in preparation and it was great to show off. The children worked hard to concentrate and hit the ball with their bat, lots of managed to. We have also been working on our fielding, we are getting much better at working as a team.
Have a lovely summer!
Thank you for another fantastic week. I can't believe we are near the end. It has been such a great year and we look forward to welcoming you all back in September to do it all again.
