Christmas in class one
14 Dec 2022
We have made it to the end of our first term and what a term it has been! I couldn't be prouder of how well the children have settled and how amazing they are. They put a smile on our faces everyday, impressing us with their super work and their kindness towards each other. Well done Class One, you are all superstars!
On Monday, we had a very special visit from some reindeer. The children were extremely excited as were Mrs Peel and Miss Thewsey! The reindeer were called Olaf and Sven. They had very long, fury atlers. We stroked their nose carefully and asked some questions. We found out that they were 2 years old and liked to eat moss, they only eat carrots on Christmas eve!
Thank you to a very kind parent for organising this, it was a fantastic experience for the children.
On Monday afternoon, the children performed their Nativity. They did the most wonderful job and we couldn't have been prouder of them! Thank you to all of you who managed to come and see the performance, it was lovely to see so many of you.
On Wednesday, we all made some gingerbread. We helped to melt the butter, cracked the eggs and stir it altogether. Then some of us rolled it out and we all cut out some Christmas shapes. Finally we decorated our gingerbread, we made some to eat and one to hang up at home.
On Friday, we had out Christmas party! The children looked brilliant in their party clothes and were very excited to celebrate together. We played lots of games, including pass the parcel and musical statues, and had a dance. Santa visited before school and had left us a special present as well!
Finally, just to say thank you for all of the lovely gifts and cards, it is really kind of you all. And a massive thank you for all of your support this year!
We hope you have the most wonderful Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
Miss Thewsey, Mrs Peel and Mrs Jarman.
