This week in class 1... We began the week with our story of the week - Jack and the beanstalk. This week we have used our acting skills to role play the story and used our phonic knowledge to write some sentences about what we found at the top of the beanstalk. On Tuesday, we planted magic beans! We are looking forward to watching our beanstalks grow and seeing if they reach the clouds.
Since we planted them we have made sure they have a little bit of water each day. We will add to our bean diary to show how they change. We thought about our story this week, Jack and the beanstalk, and made some castle pictures using pencil, paint and collage materials.
In our independent learning we have been having lots of fun using construction to build dens, make beanstalks and animal homes In maths this week, we have been exploring the numbers 9 and 10. We have used our counting and subitising skills to find different ways to make these numbers. Have a lovely weekend, next week we will have a new book following our theme. On Tuesday we will be looking for signs of spring with Miss Thewsey. Remember, it is Red Nose Day on Friday too!
