Spring 1 - week 5
01 Feb 2022
This week in Class 1...
On Tuesday it was the start of Chinese New Year. We found out about how Chinese New Year is celebrated, used our pencil skills to colour dragon pictures, used our cutting skills to make lanterns and even made our own dragon!
We had lots of fun making our own dragon dances!
In RE we have been thinking about our big question "why is the word God so important to Christians?"
We thought about what a VIP is and who our VIPs are and the things that are important to us. We made some treasure boxes to keep our special things safe.
In phonics we have met all of our phonemes now and are using our phonic knowledge to read and spell words as well as looking at longer words. We are really enjoying our reading books in school and love to share our own stories too!
Next week we will be exploring another part of our wonderful world - Africa
Have a lovely weekend
