Easter is Here!
24 Mar 2021
We have come to the end of the term!
This week in class 1 we have been finding out why Easter is an important time for Christians. We had a parade for Palm Sunday, ate hot cross buns and made our own class cross to remember the Easter story. On Friday we made chocolate nests and had an Easter egg hunt too
We are all looking forward to Easter and seeing if the Easter bunny visits our homes!
We have also been busy looking for signs of spring in the village and our classroom has turned into a garden centre where we are growing cress!
In phonics this week we have revisited the phonemes:
oo ur ar ow
Remember to keep practising your reading and recognising the phonemes we have met in phase 2 and phase 3.
In Maths this week we have been practising our number skills - counting, recognising numbers, comparing which number is more and adding.
Sadly Miss Thewsey has come to the end of her teaching placement with us but we are very happy that she is going to continue to come in and help in class 1 next term for one day each week We have really enjoyed all of the activities you have set up for us - especially the pirates!
Here are some suggestions of things you might like to do over the Easter holidays. (You don’t have to do them all…except for the one in the middle)
