A chocolate factory!

10 Jan 2024

We have had a great first week of 2024!

This week we have begun a new fiction writing unit which is based on the book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Our unit began with experience days where we explored the first part of the Roald Dahl book meeting Charlie and his excitement to find a golden ticket and of course we couldn't start our unit without tasting some sweets and chocolate too wink

We followed our taste test by designing our own treats and giving them weird and wonderful names that Willy Wonka would be proud of!

Our big question in RE this half term is What do Christians learn from the creation story? We thought about this question and recorded our ideas and then listened to the creation story from the bible. We then used the music of Louis Armstrong "What a wonderful world" and used his music to help us draw some of the things we find wonderful about our world.

Well done Class 2, we are really impressed with how you have settled back to school after the holidays. Keep up the good work!

Have a lovely weekend,
Mrs Micklefield & Miss Wray
