Greek Day - 21st September

20 Sep 2021

On  Tuesday 21st September, Class 3 will be having an off timetable day so that we can spend the whole day learning about the Ancient Greeks which will support our History Curriculum for this term.  We will spend the day with an Ancient Greek expert who will help our children to learn about this fascinating ancient civilisation. Mr Conyard has been to our school before, and the children always learn a lot from his engaging and informative presentations. He brings a wealth of resources with him which bring our topic to life and helps the children to learn more about Ancient Greece.

The children will be having a very hands on day and will be able to handle and see as many artefacts as possible, teaching them about the general Ancient Greek period.

To minimise costs and to maximise learning time, rather than taking the children on a bus to a venue, we are bringing the venue to them.  This means there is still a cost involved, and I am pleased to confirm that the Friends of Fountains have very kindly paid a portion of this, leaving £3.50 per child to pay via ParentPay.

We hope you will agree that this will be a fantastic event for the children to experience.
