Our last week of this half term!

22 Oct 2021

We have arrived safely at the end of our first half term.  Well done to everyone!

We have had such a busy week with the MacMillan Coffee afternoon, our Harvest Festival Collective Worship and all of our usual learning.  Thank you to all of you who gave cake donations for the coffee afternoon and those who attended the event.  The children had a wonderful time and we hope you did too.

We were proud of the amazing Harvest Poem that the children wrote to share with you in Collective Worship today. The children wrote their own ideas and then we collated some from each child into a class poem.  I have attached a copy below for those of you who were unable to join us.

The children have really enjoyed learning about Pablo Picasso and they have created their own pieces, inspired by this great artist.

The children have not been given any spelling homework over half term but have been encouraged to spend some time reading over the holidays.  They have a book review to do for next term so that they can share books that they have enjoyed.

We hope that you all have a fabulous holiday and look forward to seeing you in a week.
