Class 3 Tuesday 14th June

13 Jul 2020

Welcome to Class Three.

Transition Week

This week is a bit different, we would like you to head to the page which will be your class in September.
So current Year 4 pupils, head across to the Class 4 page and welcome to the current Year 2 and Year 3 pupils!

Hello From The Teachers

Funny Facts!

Mrs Lewis once wore odd boots to go out for a meal - one was brown the other was black!

Miss Rogers has never eaten a McDonalds Burger!

More About You

Thank you so much for completing your "All about me" posters. I have learned a lot. Can you guess who this is... This girl likes the colour purple, is 8 years old and enjoys playing Dobble!

Today we would like you to draw a picture of yourself. This is known as a self-portrait. You can use a pencil, crayons, paints, whatever you have to hand. Please send these into the usual email address. We will share some later in the week!

Treasure hunt

Well done for the epic scavenger hunts yesterday you found so many objects beginning with a B!

Today's theme may be trickier:

CRISPY!

Can you find 15 objects that match the description crispy? The more fun and varied the better! Please then write a list, draw pictures, or gather them all together and take a picture to show us all your finds. Send them in to us at class3@gfschools.co.uk

Times Tables

As we said yesterday, in Class Three we try really hard to learn all of our Times Tables. One way we do this is by using TT rock stars! Year 3 pupils you can use the logins you have to complete at least 5 garage sessions today.

Year 2 you will be able to do this next year and have fun competing against the other children! But for today Follow this link  TimeTables. Then chose which times tables you want to practice! Have fun!

It looks like we have 11 children who are going to reach their reading targets this term! Well done to Oli, Sam, Jessica, Izzy, Antonia, Tora, Abbey, Max, Matilda, Max J and Harriet.

 Reading

You have all worked so hard at home, reading your books and quizzing so you can get to your target on Accelerated Reader. You have just this week left to earn points for this half term so keep it up!

Remember 30 minutes each day if you can!

Keeping Active

We love our PE sessions and daily mile in Class 3 as we learn more about how great exercise is for a happy and healthy mind as well as body!

Today invent a mini sports day to play with your family! We are missing this at school so it would be great to hear about your sports days!

Time to relax...

Well, you are such a creative bunch! Throughout your home learning,  you have all shown just how resilient and how creative you are and you showed us again with your egg box creations yesterday.  Thank you for sending all your pictures in.

If you made a bee, then remember to look after it carefully and bring it to school in September!

Today can you try out some of those baking skills and whip up a tasty but healthy snack to have halfway through your sports day. You might also want to make some homemade lemonade if you have enough lemons at home! Remember to take a picture if you can send them into us at class3@gfschools.co.uk

Have a wonderful day everyone! We look forward to seeing all your work.

Love Mrs. Lewis and Miss Rogers
