Class 3 - Maths and Spellings

We have had a great week this week. We are continuing with our addition and subtracting units in maths. The year threes have been practicing crossing tens in subtractions - starting out counting on and back on number line introduced us to this concept and we have attempted to deepen our understanding by trying to represent calculations using base ten equipment and bar models.
The year 4’s have done some great posters this week explaining the spelling rule for the suffix ‘ation’ and its power of turning a route word from a verb in to a noun. I think you’ll agree they did a great job of taking on the challenge to
create a poster and as a result we have are an array of
creations to share.
