Pupil Voice In Class 3

05 Oct 2021

Pupil Voice

We have some new leaders in our school! We are working hard to develop the student voice this year.  The children will become more  involved in the decisions and events that affect them and their time in school. This initiative was launched on Tuesday when we enjoyed a day full of pupil lead activities. We would like to introduce some of our new Pupil leaders:

As well as having a school council, who we introduced to you a few weeks ago, we now also have four other groups to champion pupil voice, in each of these there are representatives from all but our youngest pupils.

Welcome to The Reading Mentors:

These children are leading the shared reading sessions in school and helping to promote a love of reading across school. They will also help us to decide on new books for our AR book shelves and encourage all children to read more!

Introducing the Charity Committee:

The chairty commitee are a really enthusaistic group, who are determined to help others and find those causes locally and in the wider world that need their support. We hope to have regular, fun, charity events with which we can involve all the children in school and also invite our wider community to suppport our causes. Our first event will be happening very soon - and involves cakes!

Welcome back to the Sports Crew:

We have had a sports crew in school for many years, who have helped Mrs Barker promote a healthy lifestyle and help raise the profile of sports in school. This time the sports crew has grown and now has represenatives from more classes; meaning more fun and more sports!

Introducing the Collective Worship Committee:

Collective Worship is an integral part of our school day - a time for reflection and gathering together. Our pupils have already helped to improve our Friday celebration workship and their feedback and support has brought about some other great changes already - improving our collective worship spaces in the classroom too.

We look forward to hearing a lot more of the pupils voice. We will let you know more about the other exciting developments with house teams and future projects as they arise!

Have a wonderful weekend! Enjoy the Sunshine whilst it lasts!
