Busy Half Term

Mrs Donaldson - 24 May 2021

So we have arrived at the end of the first half of the Summer term!

The children have enjoyed our PSHE sessions, focussing on 'Being Me In My World'.  They have designed their 'Nightmare School' and their 'Dream School', giving some thought to what makes a good school where they want to learn.  The sessions involved group work, games, discussions and reflection.  Jigsaw Jino provided a focal point when sharing thoughts together.

We have all had to get our singing voices out over the past few weeks.  In music, we have targeted beat and rhythm, firstly marching around the classroom to the beat and then moving on to using musical instruments to keep the pulse of the music.  Some children have also shared their talents, playing the ukelele, guitar and singing solos!  We will continue to discover these hidden talents next half term.

Singing continued in French with 'Tete, epaules, genoux, pieds' which helped everyone learn the parts of the body. Our learning has centred around actions and commands.

My goodness the children have worked hard over the last seven weeks. They deserve a relaxing break but please do not forget to get lost in a book from time to time!smiley

Have a wonderful half term.  See you in June.
