A very busy end of term!
22 Dec 2023
We’ve had a fun packed week to end the term and we’re all now ready for our Christmas holidays!
We completed our work about electricity this week. We enjoyed building and exploring circuits and we spent time investigating whether different materials are conductors or insulators. We had fun setting up tests to find out what would happen if we added extra bulbs or motors and buzzers into our circuits, as well as increasing the number of batteries to supply more power:
On Tuesday, we enjoyed our Christmas singalong with Mrs Roberts and some of the piano and guitar players. We were very proud of George as he represented Class 2 as one of the solo performers and he played his Christmas carols beautifully.
Wednesday was very exciting as we finally performed our Christmas Play ‘The Christmas Jigsaw'. Please see the website article for lots of pictures of us in our costumes! We've worked hard to learn the songs and our lines, as well as thinking about where we needed to be on the stage. Well done everyone - a super performance!
More festive singing was also enjoyed at the Carol Service at Sawley Church, on Thursday where we shared our Christmas poems.
Our party on Friday brought our busy week to a noisy end! We all had lots of fun playing musical statues and bumps, completing a balloon team challenge, a round of Christmas bingo and an emoji quiz finishing of course with pass the parcel! We are also excited for a wet play to use our new games from Santa too.
Thankyou for working so hard during the term, Class Two. We hope you have a brilliant holiday and we look forward to seeing you all in the New Year.
Have lots of fun!
Mrs Micklefield and Miss Wray.
