Class Three- Science Day
13 Jul 2023
This week we had a very exciting day on Tuesday we had a whole school Science Day, we took part in a carousel of actitivites, which included mento fizz volcanoes, making slime with cornflour to explore states of matter, the skittle experiment and lots of other exciting investigations. We even met Granville the tortoise and designed him a habitat.
Then on Wednesday we carried on with our statistics work in maths.
We completed our final Star reading assessments of the year, Miss Rogers and Mrs Field were very pleased with us.
In computing we used Purple Mash's 2animate to build up our annimation skills. We used pauses, we copied frames to ensure our annimatiosn flowed smoothly, we changed the speed. Then we learnt about onion skinning, a skill annimators use to create a shadow of the previous frame onto the new one so you can see previous movements.
On Thursday we joined Class 4 to practise our fantastic KS2 production, ready to show you all next week. There are still a few tickets left if you haven't got yours yet.
Then in the afternoon we had PE with Mr Powell and in RE we learnt about Humanism and what is important to them.
