Class 3 - cricket and reading
12 May 2023
We have had another short but jam packed week in class 3.
We started the week with some comparison work in our reading lesson. We discussed the different types of food eaten by the poorer and upper classes in ancient Egypt. We then entered our ideas into a Venn diagram before creating fantastic full sentence comparison answers. Well do to all – here are a few examples:
In the afternoon we continued our cricket lessons. We focused on bowling this week after recapping catching technique, the long barrier stopping technique and basic batting stance. Well done class 3 – you were doing so well we even started to attempt some game play.
Next week we will be in on Monday again, with Mr Whitford’s PE lesson, a first aid workshop and spellings lesson (please don’t forget spellings have moved to Mondays now).
Later in the week we also have a multi skills sporting event at Outwood Academy alongside other schools – don’t forget your kit and water bottle!
Hope you have a relaxing weekend,
Mrs Field and Miss Rogers
