Class Three- PE
09 Mar 2023
After a busy day of PE on Monday we were all set on Wednesday for our archery and fencing sessions.
Debbie from the Sports Partnership came into school. We began our afternoon with fencing. We learnt the correct stance and then how to move. We played games as we practised these steps. Then we got out the foils are learnt how to hold them. Next came the masks we enjoyed looking the part and spent time practising with our new headgear on.
After came archery, Debbie talked to us about safety and showed us the correct stance. We learnt how to load our arrow and then practised firing. We had to wait until Debbie said it was safe and then we collected our arrows. Finally we got out the targets and had a go at scoring points in our teams.
We have been working on Kenning poems in English and have just finished the unit. Here are our finished poems, can you guess what each of us has been writing about?
Next week we are taking part in Red Nose Day on the Friday.
Have a lovely weekend.
