Class 3 - Christmas festivities and Hinduism
09 Dec 2022
This week we have been definitely getting ready for Christmas. We have had a delicious Christmas dinner, worn our Christmas jumpers, played Jingle Bells on the glockenspiels – some of us in collective worship in front of the rest of the school and held a Christmas school fayre.
Along with all the festive activities, we have also been solidifying our understanding of Hinduism in religious education. We have been utilising our current knowledge of Hinduism and Christianity by identifying similarities and differences between the two religions. If any gaps in our knowledge were discovered we utilised resources available to us. For example, we searched specific questions up on the internet This helped us to to create a fuller picture of what happens in daily practice and through life in each religion.
From our note pages, we all then attempted to evaluate the similarities and differences of each of the religions by writing a comparison paragraph (or two). Well done class three you all tried really hard in this activity – I especially enjoyed reading the two pieces of writing shared in the pictures below.
One more week before we break up for the Christmas break.
Looking forward to our last week of festivities at school.
