Morning Class 3
Happy Monday everyone. I hope you had a lovely weekend enjoying all this snow! It is Mrs Lewis back with you today. I have had Sophie and Jack keeping me company at home, but I am missing seeing you all so I look forward to our call at 2pm later! Today we are going to continue our learning about the BFG and Multiplication, but we are also starting our new RE Topic thinking about the question, "Why are festivals important to religious communities?" We will be reviewing this work in our call so if you can have a look at this work before it would be really useful.
As ever we would like you to read for at least 30 minutes and complete your AR quiz and have some physical exercise today – remember extra ideas and information about these are on the home learning tab.
English
Today we will continue our BFG English Unit.
In this lesson, we will recap what a verb is, define a simple sentence as a main clause that makes sense on its own and write our very own simple sentences. For this lesson, you will need an exercise book or some paper and a pencil.

Maths
NEW- Please complete 5 sessions on TT Rock Stars Daily.
Remember if you can't print off the sheet don’t worry just make sure you write the question number and sum in your book.
You can mark your own work when you have finished it by looking on Teams, on the files tab for today's answer sheet.
Year 3
Today you are recapping some work you completed in Year 2 thinking about division and sharing.
Parents Note:
Children divide by sharing objects into equal groups using 1-1 correspondence. They need to do this using concrete materials then move on to pictorial representations. Children are introduced to the division symbol. They will begin to link division and multiplication.

Year 4
Today you are learning about dividing by 10
Parents Note:
Pupils are exploring questions with whole number division by 10
They should be using concrete materials and place value charts to see the link between dividing by 10 and the position of the digits before and after the calculation.
Children should start to understand the link between multiplying and dividing by 10 as the inverse of each other.
