Week Beginning 1 July 2019
04 Jul 2019
This week in Class 3, we have come to the end of our writing journey about Roman Myths. Having explored various Roman Myths over the past few weeks, we have now planned and written our own Roman Myths. We have used information found in our History lessons, to inspire our writing ideas; we based our settings, characters, mythical creatures and Roman gods on information we found during our research tasks.
We continue to enjoy our class novel 'Who Let The Gods Out?' by Maz Evans.
This story is set in modern times and is about a boy named Elliot who meets Virgo- a young Zodiac goddess on a mission. The book is very funny and has also given us ideas for our own story writing.
In Maths, our focus has been on recognising horizontal, vertical, parallel and perpendicular lines. We learnt that perpendicular lines meet at a right angle. Our knowledge from last week's work about obtuse, acute and right angles, has helped us to recognise the perpendicular lines. We have also been exploring lines of symmetry and completing symmetrical drawings
We have enjoyed our rounders matches this week, as well as keeping fit running the daily mile. We are looking forward to Sports Day and the Cycle Workshop next week.
No Homework tasks this week!
