Class Three- Reading & Football

27 Sep 2023

We have had another busy week in Class.

We are working hard on showing the correct learning behaviours at all times. Now we are the oldest children in school we are the role models for the younger children, so we need to ensure we behave correctly in Collective Worship and around school. In the classroom we must make sure we are ready to learn and listening so we can follow instructions correctly.

With Mr Scott in Theme we are learning about the Tudors and we will be sharing our work in the website soon.

This week we have been completing our 30 minute daily reading, some of us have already reached our AR targets! During this 30 minutes we read independently or with an adult, who will ask us comprehension questions about what we have read.

On top of our daily reading we have a daily Guided Reading lesson. This half term we are reading Kensuke's Kingdom, each weeek we read a chapter of the book and focus on a different content domain. This week we were looking at content domian 2a, which is to give or explain the meaning of words in context. Here is some of our work.

On Thursday we have Mr Whitford and Miss Rogers for PE, this half term we are doing football. In this week's lesson we continued to practise our skills of accuracy and communication which we have practised over the least few weeks. We played a game called 'Passing around the clock' and finished the lesson by playing mini games of 3 vs 3.
