Kwik cricket fun!

07 Jun 2022

On Tuesday, we all went to Markington to take part in the Year 5 and 6 cluster Kwik Cricket Competition. The sun was shining, the children represented themselves in the best possible way and we all had a lot of fun.

We hadn't had much chance to practise kwik cricket before the tournament and so some of the children were quite nervous and apprehensive about the day. However, they soon got the hang of all the rules and as the day progressed, their confidence grew. The children behaved wonderfully and they were constantly encouraging and supporting each other which was lovely to watch.

Due to the size of our class, we were divided into three teams. Each team was in a different group, but they all played 3 games each. How we did in the morning dictated who we played in our afternoon game. All three teams did so well, and one of our teams managed to remain unbeaten all day, and so win the tournament. They will now go onto represent our cluster at the area finals in Harrogate later this term. When I have the details about the next round, I will let you know.

Thank you to those parents and grandparents who came to support us - we really appreciated it.
