Tuesday 26th January
         Class 4

Good Morning Class 4. I look forward to seeing you all later on our Teams calls. smiley

enlightenedToday looks like...
English - Language involved with persuasive writing.
Maths - TT rockstars & more perimeter work. (Please send this piece of work to me today. You can do this via email at class4@gfschools.co.uk or upload it to Teams in the 'files' section).
1pm Teams call for Year 6.
1.30pm Teams call for Year 5.
Computing - Spreadsheets lesson 3.

Don't forget that you need to do 30 minutes reading today and some physical exercise too. Look at the home learning tab for information about both of these. Remember, you can do these activities at any point during the day.

We finally beat our record of 20 children completing their TT rockstar sessions, with 21 children doing so yesterday! A special mention to Jasmine and Sam, who not only did the 5 sessions I had set, but did 33 and 32 respectively. smiley An extra dojo to the 2 of you! smiley Let's see if we can get some of the 8 of you who didn't do them yesterday, to do them today.

Please don't forget about Accelerated Reader and completing quizzes on the books you're reading. A number of children haven't done a quiz since December, which is a little deflating! However, others have been quizzing like crazy and have already met this half term's target. These include: Jasmine, Ewan and Jacob. Well done you three! A big well done also to those of you who have done quizzes and so are working towards your targets.

Remember to look at the daily Collective Worship. You can find it under the News & Events tab on the website, under School News.

9am Sing up are running free live singing sessions on Tuesdays with a #feelgoodfifteen minutes of singing and musical fun to wake everyone up and get them ready to for a day of learning. If this is something that you would be interested in then follow the below link:

Yesterday, you were looking at points that you could use in a persuasive letter. Today, you're going to look at some of the language that will be useful in your writing.

Today's LI is: To develop a rich understanding of words associated with feeling surprised.

Here is the link for the lesson. As always, you can pause the video at any time.
