Kingswood day 1

24 Jun 2021

We started our day with a treasure hunt around Grantley. The children worked
in small groups to find clues, they then had to answer the questions and work out the code to transfer the answers into letters. After that, they had to organise the letters into a four word phrase. They did so well, and it was very close between a few groups to decide on a winner.

After the treasure hunt, we then played a game of rounders.

For one of our groups first activity they did problem solving, and our other group did low ropes. They loved both!

The last activity of the day was scrapheap challenge. It turns out that the children are excellent at producing a vehicle to protect a water balloon when it's dropped from a great height. Every groups balloon survived, meaning Mrs Barker got drenched!
