Class 4 - Red Nose Day and an author visit!

17 Mar 2023

This week in Class 4 we have been really busy.

In English we finished our setting descriptions and looked at ways we can twist traditional tales. The children also had the opportunity to act out our 3 fairy tales and put on fantastic improvised performances!

In maths we have finished our work on algebra and next week we will be moving on to measurement. In DT we have started planning our electronic buzzer board games. The children have used their scientific knowledge to design electrical circuits for their games.
On Friday we have had Red Nose Day in school. Children came to school in non-uniform (lots of you also wore red). We did lots of fun Red Nose Day activities, decorated biscuits and had a bake sale. We also had an author, Brian Beresford, visit Class 3 and 4 who talked to the children about writing creatively and how to develop ideas for stories. Hopefully the children will be able to use some of these ideas in their upcoming Fairy Tale writing.
