Class Four - Week Two
28 Apr 2023
This week in Maths we have been looking at angles. We have explored angles around a point and angles in shapes (including triangles, quadrilaterals and parallelograms). The children have worked hard to develop their protractor using skills and tested their mathematical knowledge to find missing angles. On Thursday the children also got “hands on” creating nets for different 3D shapes and testing them out.
In English we have been doing lots of grammar including the subjunctive form.
In History we are continuing our exploration of the Anglo-Saxons and Vikings. We have been researching how and why the Anglo-Saxons came to Britain and the children produced some wonderful work highlighting the key facts they discovered.
In P.E. the children have been doing Athletics and Cricket - enjoy lots of running around in the lovely sunshine.
On Friday the Year 5 children took part in a PSHE lesson with Class 3, practiced their French skills and then rehearsed some lovely songs for the King's Coronation. Year 6 worked really hard practicing some key Maths and English skills with Mr Scott.
Well done Class 4, you have worked really hard this week.
Have a lovely bank holiday weekend.
Mrs Glover 😊
