Class 4 - Welcome back!
21 Apr 2023
Welcome back Class 4!
It has been lovely to have everyone back together after the Easter holidays and as always you have all worked very hard this week.
In Maths we have been working on coordinates. You have really impressed me with your knowledge of the four quadrants, translations and reflection. We have also been revisiting some areas of grammar this week, focusing on the past and present tense.
We have started a new history topic….The Anglo-Saxons and Vikings! This week we have considered the timeline of history in Britain and where Anglo-Saxons and Vikings fit.

In DT you have tested out and evaluated the electronic board games you made before Easter. I hope you have lots of fun playing with these at home and getting your family to try them out (some are really tricky!!).
Y5 have also had the opportunity to spend some time with Class 3 this week developing their computing skills further and Y6 have been working super hard in preparation for the coming weeks.
In P.E. we will be doing a mixture of Athletics, Cricket and Rounders this half-term. This will be on a Monday and Thursday afternoon as normal.
Homework has changed slightly from this half-term. You will notice that there are no more spellings for children to practice. We will still have spelling tests throughout the remaining term, but these will be based upon spelling rules the children have previously practiced. Children will have Maths homework as usual and TT Rockstars. They will also have an English/Topic based homework activity to complete each week.
Have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes,
Mrs Glover 😊
