Class Four - World Book Day and a School Trip
02 Mar 2023
We have had a fantastic and very busy week in Class 4!
This week we have been on a school trip to Bradford. We visited the Science and Media Museum and then a Synagogue.
At the Science and Media Museum the children look at amination, including how Tom and Jerry cartoons were developed. They also spent some time in the Wonderlab, they got hands on with lots of interactive activities like a mirror maze, heat sensitive cameras, hearing tests as well as lots of other activities.
The visit to the synagogue was linked to the work we have been doing on Judaism - as part of our world religion in school. The children had the opportunity to explore the synagogue and ask lots of questions and develop their knowledge further.
Thursday was World Book Day. The children came in a fantastic variety of costumes and had the opportunity to join in with various World Book Day activities including: spending time sharing books with their reading buddies, a BBC Live Lesson and a book swap. Our Reading Mentors also asked the children to help design a new certificate for school: Reader of the Week.
We have also started looking at Ratio in Maths, continued exploring fairy tales in English and electricity in Science.
I am really proud of how well Class 4 represented our school on the trip this week and how enthusiastically they have joined in with all
of this week’s activities.
Have a lovely weekend.
