Class 4 - World religion, poetry and boomwhackers!
27 Jan 2023
This week in Class 4 we have been looking at poetry. On Monday we analysed a narrative poem called
The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe. In English we have then learnt about Haiku’s and Limericks and the children have each wrote their own.
In Maths we have continued our work on Fractions. We have looked at both multiplying and dividing fractions. The children have done fantastically learning some tricky concepts.
In Geography we have looked at Norway, Brazil and Scotland in more detail, we have started researching the types of energy each country uses and produces.
In Music we have been learning how to sing an Adele song this half-term and on Monday we started to learn how to play it on the boomwhackers which was great fun.
We also had a fantastic Judaism Day, the children moved around school learning about different aspects of Judaism and spending time with different teachers and children from other classes. It was a wonderful day and has given the children some brilliant knowledge to build on during their school trip to a synagogue next month.
Have a lovely weekend.
