Sublime Science
05 Apr 2022
On Tuesday this week, we enjoyed our Sublime Science day. The day began with a whole school assembly where Cosmic Catherine introduced us to some exciting scientific concepts including tornado makers.
Our workshop was during the afternoon. Cosmic Catherine began by showing us some very clever science. This included splitting a cup in half using just a liquid; investigating with sound using a thunder drum; and the bicarbonate of soda and vinegar explosion!
Next, the children made their own sherbet! They enjoyed eating it although a few people's were a little bit too sour!
After the sherbet, Catherine showed us a couple of other tricks which the children loved. They included bubbles full of smoke and doughnut rings shot at the curtains.
Finally, the children made their own slime. You can imagine how popular that was! The children really enjoyed their sublime science day and it certainly reiterated how fun science can be.
