Hinduism week!
16 Jul 2021
We have had such a fun week in Class 4- Hinduism week was a hit!
We have spent time in class learning about the different Gods, Gandhi, the Mandirs and Puja and the Hindu belief of reincarnation (Samsara). We have also created some Rangoli art.
This morning, we made the Hindu treat of choco-coco balls. The children worked in small groups to create these from a set of ingredients. The children did really well - some were more round than others, but they enjoyed eating them!
This afternoon, we had a Hinduism workshop led by our visitors. The children were able to learn about and experience a number of Hindu practices and traditions, as you can see from the photos. They had a great time, and really learnt a lot.
