Class 4 - Thursday 16th July
12 Jul 2020
Good Morning to the 'new' Class 4!
Morning all! I hope you're all ok today?
To my lovely Year 6 children, if you are looking at this page today, you will be pleased to hear that you have today and tomorrow off! You don't need to do any work! Obviously if you would like to do some, you can, but you don't need to. Enjoy the start of your summer holidays. I am very proud of you, and we will all miss you.
I received more excellent work yesterday. Thank you! Look through the slide show to see examples of your work.
It would be great if you could share some of the work you do today with me. If you would like to, please email it to me at the class email address at class4@gfschools.co.uk. I'd love to hear from you.
Getting to know you
I enjoyed hearing about your choice of animals yesterday.
I have a new question for you today. I want you to tell me what you would like to do in the future so what job would you like to have or what would you like to achieve?
You could represent this as a drawing or as a piece of writing. Here is mine...
Individual Qualities
Art can be a great tool for self-exploration and self-expression. I'd like you to create a piece of artwork which represents your personality and highlights your individual qualities.
This could be a picture or something more abstract using materials available at home. You may find listening to your favourite music encourages your own expression. Once completed, can you discuss your artwork with someone at home or at school. What did you want to represent in this piece? How did you try to show off your personality through your artwork?
Just for fun...
I would like you to make yourself a 'calming mood jar' today. If you follow the link below, it will tell you how.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbbc/thingstodo/mood-jar?collection=lifebabble-guide-to-feeling-good
Next year
Design a 'worry monster' and write around it the different feelings that you have when thinking about 'next year'.
Talk to someone about these feelings.
Reading
Reading is really important to me, and hopefully to you too! Therefore, I would still like you to read for 30 minutes a day.
Remember to keep doing the AR quizzes when you complete a book as you would do at school. Follow the link below:

If you have run out of books to read, then visit the enrichment page on our website and read the 'what can I read next?' article.
PE
PE is also really important to me, and so it would be great if you could choose a PE activity to do each day. This link has a range of different options for you:

Music
If you would like to do a music activity, then Mrs Watkinson has a huge range of lessons available at the below link.

Have a super day everyone.
