This afternoon, we began our first science unit of the term- living things and their habitats.
We were focusing on classifying living things into groups based on the similarities and differences between their observable characteristics. The children devised some excellent criteria, such as: vertebrates, invertebrates, land living, predators etc.
We then started our research into microorganisms, which included: bacteria, fungi and algae.
