Year 2 interschool football match against Grewelthorpe

On Tuesday 8 children from Fountains year 2 class attended a football fixture against Grewelthorpe year 2’s. The match was played as four quarters of five a side with each player playing a half or more each. Each player performed fantastically both on and off the pitch. When off the pitch the cheering for their team mates showed how supportive they were for each other and how passionate they were as a team.
Fountain’s came away with the win with the result being close at 3 goals to 2. A big well done goes to the players for their fantastic efforts and behaviour during the event, to Mr Whitford for refereeing and parents for their support from the side lines.
