Travel to Tokyo!

Can we (Fountains School) collectively walk, jog, run, cycle, scooter or swim the distance to the Olympic Stadium Tokyo in time for the opening ceremony on Friday 23rd July? It's only 5821 miles away! I think we can give it a really good go!
You can complete your miles either during school time, travelling to or from school or at home with your family. We will be competing against all the other small schools who are part of the Olympic countdown programme.
We have got until July to do as many miles as possible.
Every time you go out for a walk, jog, run, cycle etc etc then you should keep count of how many miles you do. Then you have two options. You can send me (Mrs Barker) how many miles you've done that month and I will enter them for you, or you can enter your monthly miles yourself at the link below. It is really straight forward if you have a look.

If you click on the above link, there is an individual competition to see which pupil can go the furthest, as well as the school competition.
I think we could be amazing at this! You're all so good at going for walks, runs, bike rides, scooters etc that I am sure we could get ourselves a long way towards Tokyo by July! Give it a go!
If you're not confident to enter your miles yourself, then that's no problem. Just keep a monthly record of how many you have done, and at the end of the month, send them to me at class4@gfschools.co.uk and I'll add them for you.
