Our First Federation Football Fixtures

Tonight after school, we welcomed Grewelthorpe's football teams so that we could play the first ever Federation football matches against them.
We had two teams that were made up of any children in Key Stage 2 who wanted to (and were available to) play.

Considering the children hadn't played together before in this context, they all did so well. We were really impressed with their team work, determination and perseverance. They showed super sportsmanship too.
Grewelthorpe's teams chose two players of the match for us; there was one for each team. They chose William T from the boys team and Eliza from the girls team. Very well played to both of you!
We hope that this becomes a more regular event, so that we can have Federation fixtures for a range of sports throughout the year.
